About the Founder
Hillside Tax Services was founded by Yelena F., a Richmond Hill-based tax professional with a background in software engineering, quality assurance, and process management. With over 25 years of experience working in detail-driven environments - reviewing systems, identifying gaps, and ensuring nothing falls through the cracks - Yelena brings that same rigorous attention to detail to every tax file she works on.
The idea behind Hillside Tax Services goes beyond filing returns. Yelena's goal is to make sure every client leaves with a clearer understanding of their own financial picture - not just a completed form. Tax filing should be an opportunity to learn, not just a task to get through. Clients are guided through their situation, shown what matters and why, and advised on practical steps they can take throughout the year - not only at tax time.
A long-time Ontario resident and member of the local community, Yelena serves clients in English and Russian, with a particular understanding of the financial questions and challenges facing newcomers, families, and small business owners in the Greater Toronto Area.
